HELP-PORTRAIT VOLUNTEER EVENT 2019// PALMER LAKE VFW
January 26th, 2019
Palmer Lake VFW
Help-Portrait is a volunteer event that is near and dear to my heart. This was my 7th year volunteering in this event and every year gets better and better. Not only is it amazing to see the joy on the faces that we bless, but volunteering with other friends/photographers that enjoy helping out at this event every year really just adds to the magic of this day every year! This year we held the event in January(which normally we hold the event the first week of December.) This year we blessed the community of military veterans. About 30 families benefited from the event on Saturday. Help-Portrait has done these events since 2009, taking photographs of different groups of people each year. This event also included free hair and makeup, a free printout of the family’s portrait of choice, and a free digital copy of their entire session. It was so much fun to bless these Veteran Families this year!
We were also featured on Television. CLICK HERE to view our awesome volunteer experience in video. After a full day of blessing people, we were able to bless a grand total of 30 sessions and 116 people & two dogs! Whoop Whoop! I know the Wounded Warrior Project was so pleased with us and there is talk of possibly collaborating more in the future! Take a peek at some of the awesome photo’s I took while documenting the day! I am hoping to put together my own video of the day as well to add to this post soon! Enjoy! ~ Nicole
